Saudi minister: Oil market recovers, OPEC against serious steps
VIENNA, Jun 2 (PRIME) -- The global oil market is recovering quite well without any help, which is why OPEC will abstain from serious measures, Khalid Al-Falih, minister of energy, industry and mineral resources of Saudi Arabia, an informal leader state in the organization, told reporters before an OPEC meeting on Thursday.
OPEC hopes for a long-term stability on the market, which means solid supplies covering rising demand and a global economic recovery, he said.
Secretary General of OPEC Abdalla Salem el-Badri said that a bad period on the oil market was left behind and he hopes for better prices.
